Humans

Dinner conversation tonight consisted of playing "Guess the movie character" game.
Dalan gave us a clue that the character he had chosen was a human.

Landon chimed in, "This girl in my class said human. Then my teacher said that 'human' is a bad word."

"Really?" I replied. "Do you know what the word 'human' means?"

"No."

"It means 'people' like you and me. We are humans. It isn't a bad word."

Landon responded, "Oh." Thinking, thinking thinking, "Well, she said 'humans, uh, . . .stupid'. That's bad."

"You're right, we don't say that word."
